Shamir Secret Sharing

How to use

1. In the Split tab, type the secret and choose how many shares to create (N) and how many recover it (M).
2. Click Split: the shares are verified before they appear. Copy them, download the .txt or show each one as a QR code.
3. Keep each share in a different place or give them to different people.
4. To recover, paste at least M shares in the Recover tab, one per line, in any order.

Good to know

• With fewer than M shares the secret stays encrypted: nothing of it leaks.
• A mistyped or tampered share is named before combining, and a result is accepted only if AES-GCM authenticates it.
• Shares are compatible with offline-tools (format v3). Everything runs locally in the browser.
